Robert King, Chairman
Robert King was elected to Chair the Gaston County Republican Party in March of 2023. Robert has been actively involved in the GOP as a City Council candidate, Party Delegate, Precinct Chair, Township Chair, a member of the Executive Committee, and an officer in the role of Finance Chair for the Party. Robert and the other elected officers now lead and serve the County Party’s agenda as a new chapter begins. Robert also now serves on the Executive Committees for State Republican Party District 10 and District 14.
Robert graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has accumulated over 35 years of private sector business leadership experience with roles in media, national corporate account management, and operational leadership for a regional business concern based in North Carolina.
In our community, Robert has been involved in many activities. He has served in leadership roles at his church, including Chairing the Trustees and serving on Church Council. He provided servant leadership at the Rotary Club of Gastonia, redeveloping the Community Scholarship program, and serving as Vice President, among other activities. Robert is a volunteer for several other community organizations and boards, including Gaston Christian School, and the Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement Committee.
